Connecting using JDBC
Connecting your external tools is as simple as to any other JDBC datasource:
- Use our jdbc driver (see attachments) - import it to your tool or leave it on a class path.
- Choose driver class - class com.codedoers.jira.smartql.jdbc.Driver.
- Fill parameters which will point the driver to your JIRA instance.
- Use newly created datasource straight from your JIRA.
Driver parameters
| Parameter | Notes |
|---|---|
| URL | HTTP(s) URL to your JIRA instance, like jdbc:smartql:jira:url=http://localhost:2990/jira |
| JIRA_USER | Your user in JIRA |
| JIRA_PASSWORD | Your password in JIRA |
Driver does not support logging in through USER and PASSWORD properties. Use JIRA_USER and JIRA_PASSWORD for that.
Driver itself connects to Jira through HTTP(s), very similar to using REST API. So it should be every proxy and NAT friendly.
